The History of the Bell Ringers

The bell ringing team are a very enthusiastic group within the social structure of the church and the village. Occasionally we visit churches in other areas on our annual trips.

Some photographs of the bell ringers this century...

The Bell Ringers in 1912

This picture, taken in 1912 shows the bells about to be re-hung after being recast by Warners of Cripplegate,London EC2. This firm made and hung the bells originally in 1854.
Warners no longer exists and our bells are now looked after by  Taylors of Loughborough. They are one of only two bell foundries left in England, the other being located in Whitechapel, London.
